Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics, University of Patras The course introduces basic concepts of computer programing using the C language. The selection of C was based on its popularity and flexibility. After a short review of the language, emphasis is given to the development of modular programs, data types, control structures, functions and file management. The course also introduces basic algorithmic concepts and elements of object-oriented programing.

The structure of CNC machines is described along with various types of control systems and tools. Students are introduced to CNC programming for milling and turning. Necessary mathematical tools are also provided.
