Generally in this course, the technological phenomenon is being discussed as the object of sociology; it is referred to theoretical thinkers and the mechanics of tradition and modernism. We focus on globalization issues and the ecological - natural crisis that modern society is experiencing. In the same framework, the relation between technology and globalization is being discussed.
Specific issues of "Sociology of Science and Technology" are included, such as the technology being the component of modernism, technocracy, etc. Approaches of identity and multicultural urban cities issues as well as Eric Hobsbawm's point of view about globalization of information and knowledge are being examined.
This course focuses on the sociology of technology and the multiple conceptualization of the technological phenomenon. We, thus, study the impact of technology on social, ethical, political and cultural dimensions of the world. We examine the meanings of technology and culture. We also study the influence of technology on the environment in order to understand and evaluate the technological effects.
We aim to describe the optic, tactile and of course the musical experience that accompany several aspects of the technological and mathematical project, even taking into consideration the psychologists' opinion about its meaning.

This is a lesson that deals with the history of Science and Technology with parallel reference to philosophical ideas and an emphasis on modernity .
In the framework of the course, there will be a presentation of the following subjects: theoretical, practical knowledge and knowledge through familiarization, the sources of knowledge, error and sκepticism, technology, the technological factor in spiritual culture's autonomy, Commitment Feedback Cycle, the circulation of scientific ideas and discoveries, the language and the social construction of reality, ethics and value Issues, the political importance of journalistic ethics, Social Constructionism, the problem of construction in social sciences today, science, reasoning, etc.
