The course "Greek Economy", seeks to understand the temporal situation of key sectors of Greek economy, development and prospects. The course is a basic introductory course on the situation, developments and prospects of the Greek economy.
This course aims to introduce students to the back of the key stations of the Greek economy, the data and the situation of the Greek primary sector (features, problems and development prospects) in the Greek industry characteristics and issues, the problems of the Greek SMEs, in the characteristics of entrepreneurship in the country, the strategic directions for the future. Also prepare students to the economic importance of Greek shipping and tourism, detailing the characteristics, issues encountered and the importance to the economy, the per capita domestic product, state budget and training, the Government Deficit and Debt, the management of public debt and the Greek balance of payments. Instructs students in employment, unemployment and its characteristics and long-term labor market trends in the unequal distribution of income in Greece, the black economy and corruption. Reference is made in R & D and innovativeness of the country. An outline of the international relations of the Greek economy, business and investment with the countries of Southeast Europe and the characteristics of the current economic crisis, the issues that have emerged and the support mechanism for the Greek economy by the European Union and the International Monetary Fund .
