The main objective of this course is to give students the ability to analyze, plan and evaluate educational programs associated with visits to science and technology museums and cultural institutions

The course will give the opportunity to students to be familiarized with the research current of ‘didactical transposition’ which concerns the changes that happen in the scientific knowledge when this knowledge is transformed to school knowledge.

The course familiarizes students with various types, levels and fields of educational research and teaches them how to conduct and compose such a research

In this course students will discuss concepts of Scientific Museology and Science Education, particularly the concepts of museographic trasposition and didactical transposition. They will also study the role of the modern science and technological museum to communicate science and technology to the general public and school populations. At last, students will be familiarized with informal and non-formal approaches of science education.

This course presents known e-learning systems as well as existing standard or ad-hoc course production patterns. The course examines the content, aims and modern trends of distance education as well as the forms and processes which are necessary for its realization. It also includes the analysis, design and production of distance learning courses, including their multimedia constituents, taking into account existing instructional design specifications and standards. Moreover, it examines the use and evaluation of integrated systems for synchronous and asynchronous distance learning and training. Another focus is the study of learning methods and means for transferring knowledge in the most effective way. Finally, it explores the tools which can be used to automate and manage educational environments.
