Science Education Activities for Kindergarden


The development of science activities (theoretical elements and trends, in-vitro and in-vivo approaches, work plans)


Objectives

- The students’ comprehension of the obstacles of pre- schoolers’ thought about science concepts and phenomena. - The establishment of teaching techniques to overcome these obstacles - The creation of original teaching situations

There are no prerequisites


Syllabus

The course is approached in the context of development activities from the field of physics for the Kindergarten (cognitive development, Science Teaching, the official Curriculum, Science literature for preschool age). The parameters of development of this kind of activities are critically analized (objectives, materials, support, science concepts, evaluation) through different models of development activities. Based on the above, the students develop activities in continuous cooperation with the teacher, they experience them in kindergartens and present it in other students in the end of the course and there is extensive debate and discussion.
