Satellite Geodesy (GPS)


Introduction to the GPS satellite system. Types and operation of GPS receivers. Types of measurements. Problems in the process. Methods for detecting the marks and correct them. Accuracies of measurement methods. Strategies and their applications in topographic-geodetic studies. Description of geodetic systems in force in Greece and transformations of the system of GPS in them. Analysis of the concept of "geodynamic model" and the contribution of GPS. Applications.


Objectives

Acquisition of basic knowledge of how the Satellite System Information and education on this. The usability of GPS in determining photostable in photogrammetry. Comparison with Surface Topography measurements.
