Transportation Analysis and Design I

The objective of this course is the analysis of transportation demand and the understanding of the curve of demand. Further analyse the elasticity of demand and expressed mathematically utility by utility function. Also, curves shown indifference. It shows the utility function as the carrier selection tool in function of the independent variables, cost and time. Finally, the model is used two values LOGIT as a tool for assessing the usefulness of systemic means.

Objectives

The objectives of the course is to understand the demand for transport and the transport service offer. Then to analyze concepts such as elasticity, utility and to present the indifference curves. These goals are achieved through definitions and mathematical equations and through examples and exercises.
