Museology and Education


In this course students will discuss concepts of Scientific Museology and Science Education, particularly the concepts of museographic trasposition and didactical transposition. They will also study the role of the modern science and technological museum to communicate science and technology to the general public and school populations. At last, students will be familiarized with informal and non-formal approaches of science education.


Objectives

The main objective of the course is for the students to approach theconcept of scientific culture and link it to the content and learning activities produced in science / technology museums and schools.
