Early Childhood Pedagogy


Familiarize with the current curriculum for kindergarten (philosophy, content, teaching methods, the role of the teacher and how to evaluate the educational process), familiarity with the environment of the kindergarten and educational practice. Acquisition of basic knowledge about the process of observation and recording through observation of free activities in kindergarten.

To familiarize students with the environment of a kindergarten and the educational practice and gain basic knowledge about the process of observation and recording.

The current curriculum for preschool education in Greece. The space and the daily practice in kindergarten, class rules, routines, using different theme rooms. Observation and recordings in kindergarten: importance, advantages and disadvantages Internships form observation of pedagogical process Examples recordings use: work plans, the approach of the schools of Reggio Emilia. The importance of (re) thinking for the teacher, connection records from the class with theoretical approaches
