Understanding the basic principles of the physiology of reproduction and the importance of its disorders
There are no prerequisite courses.
• It is analyzed the evolution of reproductive function over the entire range of living life. • It is explained the diversity and complementarity of the sexes as well as the disorders of sex differentiation and their implications. • There are presented the disturbances of reproductive function during childhood and adolescence and their relationship with the adult life disorders and infertility. • There are presented examples of disorders regarding the genotype which consist the base of the phenotypic disorders of sex differentiation. • There are explained some basic laboratory techniques for molecular detection of gene mutations and it is analyzed their use. • It is presented the physiology of sexuality and the importance of its disorders
