General & Special Zootechnics (Lab)


To provide students of undergraduate studies, theoretical and practical training in subjects related to animal husbandry.


Objectives

Seeking the understanding of the work conducted in cowshed on the tribes kept their living quarters and manipulations involving nutrition and breeding of cows, as well as on the farm about breeds bred and living quarters, with dietary manipulations, the playing, the milking process, vaccinations and shearing for the breeds reared on the farm of TEACHING COURSES. It also aims at familiarising the student with the body in the cow, sheep and pig and then with the conformation of the head and neck to allow the separation of assets and disadvantages in farm animals. Syllabus

The description of the tribes, the pens, the milking area, the manoeuvres on nutrition and the reproduction of cows at the dairy farm of the agricultural University of Athens. The tribes, the Interior and exterior spaces and the manoeuvres involve the separation of animals according to age and sex in the farm of the agricultural University of Athens.
