Exercise and Obesity


This postgraduate course deals with issues related to obesity from the standpoint of general health and how regular physical activity can reduce the development of various chronic diseases associated with weight gain and in particular fat deposition.


Objectives

To know the student the reasons and effects of obesity and how exercise can be used as a means to prevent or remedy the condition. Students need to understand what are the factors that regulate metabolism during exercise and at rest. Students need to be able to connect the modern scientific knowledge with practice, ie the physical activities in prevention. To enable the student to design a specialized exercise program for obese
