Translation History


The course offers a panorama of readings about translation from Herodotus to Post Modernity. The aim is to prepare the students to think translation traditions in relation with early theoretical translation thinking. The main source of the readings is the Western Translation Theory, bought by the School of English and distributed free to the students. Parallel readings for the acquisition of the sublanguage of the history of translation also in Greek.
