Computer Architecture

Welcome to Computer Architecture course. This course presents the basics of Computer Architecture. The course's framework includes various concepts like: algorithms of arithmetic, architectural total machine language instructions (Instruction Set Architectures), organization processor: control unit (control unit) and data path (datapath), organization CPU architectures Pipeline (pipeline), organization of memory hierarchy (caches, virtual address translation, TLB ), reference methods in memory. Input-output organization, synchronous-asynchronous communication, interrupts, corridors etc.

Objectives

Student familiarization with the general principles of the course.

Prerequisites

The information is not available.

Syllabus

General concepts and computer technology. Arithmetic algorithms. Instruction set (ISA) -order representation, the instruction set architecture MIPS (RISC). Design processor: data path (datapath) and control unit (wired logic). Increased performance using pipe (pipe-pipelining architecture). Memory System (Organization, hierarchy, cache).
