Biochemistry-Molecular Biology-Pathophysiology of Chronic Diseases


This course is focused on the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of most common chronic diseases. Based on existing knowledge of molecular biology-biochemistry and physiology of postgraduate students obtained during their undergraduate studies, this course provide them with new advances in the pathophysiology of the following chronic disorders: 1. Cardiovascular disease 2. Metabolic syndrome 3. Diabetes mellitus 4. Obesity 5. Hypertension 6. Atrial fibrilation 7. Venous thromboembolic disease 8. Chronic kidney disease 9. Cancer 10. Disorders of the central nervous system 11. Autoimmune and inflammatory diseases
