Introduction to Informatics


The lesson’s objective aim is to provide students the basic skills regarding computer’s operation and programming. This knowledge will be usefull to them in order to meet the case of the forthcoming lessons. More specific, the goal of the lesson is to bring out the meaning of computers and computational systems in general. Students will gain knowledge of the computers typical structures, logic and limitations, both in software and hardware domain.


Objectives

course aim To give the student fundamental knowledge related to infrastructure courses (Computer Science) followed in subsequent semesters. The student will acquire skills in using Compile, simulators and will acquire basic knowledge about the hardware and software of a computer.

Syllabus

he course Introduction to Computer is the introduction of information technology in the Department\\\'s curriculum. The navel-gazing student computing as a single science and finds its extensions depending on the needs of the application. The course aims to give the student fundamental knowledge related to infrastructure courses (Computer Science) followed in subsequent semesters. The student will acquire skills in using Compile, simulators and will acquire basic knowledge about the hardware and software of a computer. Upon successful completion of this course the student / her will be able to: Describes the pieces that make up a computer system. Successfully evaluate the performance of a computer system. Explain the topology of a computer network. Using their computer for entering / editing data search information Explain the code conversion process in a programming language into executable code on a computer system. Recognizes various file types an operating system. Introductory concepts: model hardware-software as programming levels. Digital Logic, Computer Architecture, Microprocessors, Programming Languages, Compile. Operating System. Networking, Internet and Internet Technologies. Databases and Information Systems. Other technologies (Multimedia, Telematics etc.)
