DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) and ECR (Efficient Consumer Response). Importance of physical distribution and transport. Transportation and Supplies. Multi-modal and Intermodal Transport. Negotiations with carriers. Assessment of carriers. Packaging products and the importance of transport. Transport of dangerous cargo. Insurance products during transport. Information technology in transport. Costing transport. Distribution objectives. Relationship Marketing and distribution. Customer service and distribution. Channels of distribution.
