Highway Engineering I (Geometric Design of Roads)

The course aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge regarding fundamental principles, methods, and stages of designing new roads or improving existing ones. In addition, the principles of propulsion are described and the limit values for design elements are identified. The emphasis is placed on safety criteria for the geometric design of roads.

Objectives

The course will help users to be familiar with the design and stage design of a road project process, to apply basic principles related to the safe and functional design of a road project, to check the limit values of study data in accordance with applicable instructions and finally to solve common problems that occur in geometric road design process.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.
