Differential Geometry II


Review of central notions of theory of surfaces, global theorems, Godazzi and Gauss equations, covariant derivative, parallel transport, geodesics, the Gauss-Bonnet theorem


Objectives

The student should be able to make proofs of various theorems of elementary differential geometry, understand the concept of geodesic, work applications of Gauss-Bonnet Theorem


Prerequisites

Linear Algebra, Multivariable calculus
