Objectives

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the concepts of the aggregate economy. Get to know the evolution of macroeconomics and different approaches. To understand the economic problems of unemployment, inflation, economic fluctuations and the open economy, and the role of fiscal and monetary policy to address these problems.

Syllabus

The course is an approach to today's economy as a system that deals with the scarcity of resources. It analyzes the relationships between variables such as national income, employment, inflation and the amount of money. The role of government spending, taxation and monetary policies, the global economy and economic growth.
