Mathematics

The course aims to introduce students to basic concepts: differential equations of higher order (not homogeneous with non-constant coefficients), Vector Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Functions of several variables. Also through a complete set of exercises student assmilates and practices.

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course the student should be able to: To solve differential equations of higher order (non-homogeneous). To apply operators for solving differential equations with constant coefficients and non. Be aware of key issues of vector analysis. Study functions of several variables (limits, continuity, derivative, directional derivative, differential actual function, etc.) To solve problems with the help of operators (Laplace, Hamilton, etc.). To study components and properties fields (gravitational, magnetic, electric), as gradient, divergence, vorticity etc. To examine whether a function is harmonious. To find the extrema of functions of two variables. Calculate 1st and 2nd order curve integrals. Calculate double integrals. Calculate double integrals by changing variables. To solve equations with the help of Numerical Analysis (Newton-Raphson, Simpson, etc.).
