Stratigraphy- Historical geology

the stratigraphy mainly studying sedimentary rocks , which occupy 75 % of the total area of the land and the ocean floor the coverage rate is higher. Historical geology and based on stratigraphy is trying to portray the history of the earth during geological time .

Objectives

aims of the course is to introduce students to the importance of stratigraphy in the study of the geological structure of a region and trained to use stratigraphic methods such as lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy.
