Metal Constructions I


After successful completion of the core issues of Eurocodes relating to steel and wooden constructions. A must for those who wish to further deepen in special steel structure issues to provide a concise yet comprehensive knowledge of these issues will form the basis of future professional involvement in the design and construction of these structures. The course includes Specific elements of Regulation loadings (seismic actions and anemopoiisis) Connector-screw connections and welding, steel structure consolidation systems (purlins, rafters, roof connectors, windproof and x-links) Links beam-columns, column bases.


Objectives

By the end of the course the student acquires the ability to understand the basic concepts of the entire steel structure from beginning to end, knowledge is needed to use the software calculation and design of steel structures available in the section.
