Broadband Networks


The course presents the basic principles of multicarrier modulation OFDM, the OFDMΑ multiple access technique, wireless access networks: WiMAX, Mobile WiMAX, Long Term Evolution (LTE) and LTE-Advanced. Emphasis is given to the analysis and understanding of the physical layer and MAC layer of WiMAX and LTE technologies. The course concludes with an introduction to local broadband networks DQDB (Distributed Queue Dual Networks Corridor, IEEE 802.6)
