INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION


Novel technologies used to apply active pedagogical methods of teaching. Design and construction of web sites to support asynchronous and synchronous education. Creation of video-lectures, assessment and self-assessment forms. Application of software suites for scientific simulations, virtual laboratories and teaching presentations.


Objectives

Development of scientific awareness and preparedness for future Informatics teachers Students’ familiarity with the working environment and the requirements of a workplace that will enable them to gain realistic views on labour relations and labour market conditions in Greece and Europe nowadays Participation in knowledge transfer procedures on Informatics Correlation of the theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies with the actual conditions Implementation of novel teaching approaches in an integrated manner tailored to the needs and particularities of their class Undertaking initiatives and creative resolution of in-classroom problems Development of students’ critical ability for evaluation and self-evaluation of educational and instructional choices via reflective processes
