The course aims to emphasize the plastic possibilities and technical characteristics of video (merged into a wider and more complex set of related media) to be used as an art genre for the implementation of artworks. The emphasis is on familiarity with the medium, the approach methodology, the creative process and the formatting personal expression and authentic artistic proposal by the students. During the semester, are offered lectures and presentations about the requested themes and also presentations about the work of various visual artists. The course continues at the 6th semester with Video art- Audiovisual mediums III.

Presentation and analysis of the basic principles and techniques of video production in all phases of creation: (Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production). Presentation of the camera functions, the kinds of shots their relationships and meanings, filming and audio issues etc. Introduction of the basic principles of digital editing and software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut). The course includes a series of presentations and lectures, where presented and analyzed the work of artists associated with the history and development of video art from the first works until present day. The course continues in the 5th semester with Video art- Audiovisual mediums II.

History of the Architecture II

During the course, the subjects are developed according to the following structure: • Renaissance, Mannerism and Baroque in Italy. • Renaissance, Mannerism and Baroque in the rest of Europe. • The return to classicism. • The Architecture of the 19th century, subjects related to the Revolutionary architecture, Romantic Classicism, the Historicism, Eclecticism, works of Engineers, School of Chicago and the Art Nouveau architecture. • Architecture for the period 1900-1940 , where subjects, related to searches of architecture until 1920, the "Viennese School", the German contribution, Perret and the evolution of classical rationality, the faculty of Glasgow, European expressionism, the Bauhaus, the De Stijl and Esprit Nouveau, are analyzed. Architecture for the period 1940-1990.

The course is addressed to students that have passed successfully the course “Museum Studies I”. It explores practical and theoretical issues related to cultural heritage management in a wide range of case studies (cultural organizations, historic sites, traditional villages and settlements, listed buildings, cultural landscapes and museums). It examines the relationship between heritage management and social identity and memory, whereas it places special emphasis on issues of contested heritage. Last but not least, it introduces students to the practices of museum and heritage administration as well as to relevant legal aspects and marketing strategies.

Also we shall be looking at architectural characteristics or trends, at individuals works of classical and Hellenistic painting and vase painting.
