Special Topics in Networks II

The course is a continuation of the Advanced Networking I course and relies on the knowledge provided there.The course covers the last section (Accessing the WAN) formal matter of the program Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Exploration. The teaching combines electronic access to material and practical exercises, using and managing real network devices (switches and routers) and other network infrastructures in specially equipped laboratory of the Department.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course students will fully understand the technical details of the design, installation and operation of computer networks as small medium enterprises and networks in corporate environments and services. The students will learn in detail the structure of the networks and the most widely used switching and routing protocols in wired or wireless networks. They will have the opportunity to gain long experience of using and managing network devices, to implement complex network topologies to implement WAN technologies and to address all the problems encountered under actual conditions.
