Computer Aided Statistical Analysis

This course aims to introduce students to the use of applied univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistics using SPSS. After successfully completing the course, students are expected to be able to evaluate a problem, define variables, use the appropriate statistical tests or regression models and interpret the findings. Lectures include: Descriptive statistics, Data management and transformations, Chi-square test, Independent samples T-Test, Normality tests, Mann-Whitney test, Paired samples T-test, Wilcoxon test, ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis test and other nonparametric tests, Correlation coefficients, Simple regression, Multiple regression, Stepwise regression, Hierarchical regression, Residuals-regression diagnostics
