ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS


On the fundamentals of the analytical solution of Ordinary Differential Equations.


Objectives

At the end of this course the student should have a good insight of the advanced calculus. Furthermore, she/he must be able to apply them in Engineering problems.


Prerequisites

There are no prerequisite courses.


Syllabus

The most applicable techniques for the solution of fundamental ODEs are presented in this course. More precisely, after an Introduction, we put specific effort on solving first order ODEs, where several techniques are presented. Next, we describe a specific approach for solving high-order liner ODE with constant coefficients, independent of being homogeneous or not. Finally, we spend the last part of the course on the ODE- systems and their application on Environmental Engineering.
