Mechanical Drawing II


The course covers the use of AutoCAD, the presentation of the most important machine elements and their drawing.


Objectives

• The objective of the course is to show the use of computers and appropriate software to prepare mechanical drawings. • With the completion of the topic the students will: 1. Know the most important design tools AutoCAD. 2. Draw the main machine elements. 3. Prepare assemblies of machine elements.

Basic knowledge of Mechanical Drawing I


Syllabus

1. Computer aided design – Draw lines and circles using AutoCAD 2. Coordinates, adding text and dimensions in drawings 3. Copy, move, offset, rotate, trim, extend, fillet, chamfer. 4. Object attributes, Layers, enhanced drawing tools. 5. Using the design tools in an appropriate application. 6. Drawing of axles and shafts. 7. Drawing of shaft-hub connections. 8. Drawing of pulleys and sprockets. 9. Drawing of bearings. 10. Drawing of sealing elements. 11. Drawing of bolted connections 12. Welds and welding symbols. 13. Assembly drawing
