INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION


The module aims to deliver the introductory knowledge corpus including terms, definitions, methods and concerning mainly the following areas: a short historical management overview, the environment of the economic enterprises, the managerial strategic planning concept, the functions and procedures within the enterprise, the main typologies concerning organization structure, the managerial aspects of the productive resources, the legal forms of the enterprises, the main typology of the trade sector firms, the functions and dimensions of leadership, introductory time management aspects, basic issues concerning human resource and knowledge management, basic issues about methods and techniques b developing organigrammes.


Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Be aware of the environment of the business 2. Know what is strategic business planning 3. Be aware of the productive functions and business processes 4. Be aware of how forms of organization / business management (structure & flow) 5. Be aware of the legal forms of the entity 6. Be able to distinguish the peculiarities of commercial enterprises 7. Know the dimensions of administration / management and time management 8. Understand the importance of knowledge and human resources within the company 9. Know the technology of organization charts and prepare relatively simple organization charts financial institutions.
